Habitat for Humanity Women Build

WMU NC Habitat for Humanity Women BuildWMU NC began a partnership with Habitat for Humanity in 2008. The first houses WMU NC participants helped to build were in Goldsboro, NC. In 2009, WMU NC worked with Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills. This has proven a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ in word and deed both with the future owners of the homes as well as others working on the site who are not believers. As much as the houses are being built, relationships are being built also. We hope through these relationships many will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Almost anyone can volunteer. All you need to help at the construction site is to

  • be at least 16 years old.
  • be willing to volunteer. Prior construction experience is not necessary. We have all the tools and the staff to help you! You can bring your own tools if you have them.
  • sign the release and waiver of liability form. Parents must sign the form for children under 18.

The 2010 dates are October 2-9, and we will be working with the Brunswick County Habitat organization. You may download a flyer here. More information about future builds will be posted here as it becomes available. If this project is something that interests you or may interest someone you know, please check back to find out details of when and where you can participate!
