Currently we have several resources available for download: the prayer guide, the poster, a skit script, a label/sticker template, a PowerPoint presentation and a PowerPoint show. If you do not have the WinZip program on your computer, you may download the evaluation version for free here. (If you download a non-evaluation version, you will have to pay for it. If you will not have use for the program in the future, the evaluation version is all you need.) After downloading and installing WinZip, to open the files, all you need to do is click here and select "Open". Then click the "Extract" button and click the folder where you want to save the files. Click "Extract" in the dialog box, and you're done! If you have any trouble using WinZip, click here to go to the WinZip site or help.

PowerPoint Presentation
 *New* 1/29/2008: Click here to download a PowerPoint Presentation that you may use to promote the offering in your church services and meetings. When you click the link, choose "Save" (not "Open") to download it onto your computer. Once downloaded, the easiest way to play the show is to open the file and push the F5 key on your keyboard. When the show is finished playing (when the music stops), press the Esc key on your keyboard to end it.

Label/Sticker Templates
 *New* 1/28/2008: Click here to download a template for labels that can be used to make additional offering envelopes or to wear as stickers. The template is designed for Avery 8163 labels, which are 2” x 4” in size. Many thanks to Robin Bass for creating the template and sharing it with us.

Skit Script
*New* 1/28/2008: Click here to download a skit script highlighting the heritage of WMU NC. You may use the skit in your church services and meetings. Written by Pat Crocker, a WMU supporter, you might find it useful in the promotion of the Heck-Jones Offering. We are grateful to her for the contribution of the skit.

Promotional Poster and Prayer Guide

Offering materials are scheduled to be mailed to churches and WMU directors on January 15th.* Please look for these materials so you can be a part of promoting our offering in your church. You may also download the offering materials by clicking the icons below below.
*Due to time constraints in getting materials to churches in time for the focus week, we are sending churches envelopes, prayer guides and posters in quantities we estimate they will need rather than sending a sample packet and having churches order the amount of materials they think they will need. Estimates are based on the average Sunday School attendance for 2007 as reported to the Baptist State Convention and on the quantities of materials they have ordered for promoting other offerings.

- Promotion of Missions Awareness – we promote missions awareness through our organizations, events, partnerships, publications and website as well as WMU curriculum and other materials; our staff, Resource Team and others also frequently speak at church, association and other events.
- Missionary Start Up – a monetary gift is given to each NC native missionary entering into full-time service with the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board or Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Global Missions.
- Short-term Missions Volunteers – financial assistance is provided, as funds allow, to those who feel called to serve Christ through short-term mission trips.

February 11 - 17 has been designated the Week of Prayer and Heck-Jones® Offering promotion for Woman's Missionary Union of North Carolina, coinciding with WMU Focus Week. What better way to focus on the missions and ministry of WMU NC than to spend time in prayer and offer monetary support.
The offering theme is "Our Heritage. Our Heart. Our Hope." WMU's rich heritage of promoting, supporting and praying for missions spans more than 120 years. Our heart is to love God and share His love with all the world. Our hope for the future is to continue "to challenge, prepare and equip Christian believers to be radically involved in the fulfillment of the Great Commission." We hope that you will join us as we draw on our past and venture into the future with God's heart leading our steps.
Our goal this year is $1.2 million, which is approximately what it will take for WMU NC to continue to function at its present level. We thank you for giving generously to support missions in North Carolina and around the world.
