Even from the very beginning of the Old Testament, God reveals His ultimate plan for all people to be in relationship to Him. This plan is continued through the New Testament as Jesus is sent to be our Savior through His sacrifice. All through the Bible is the thread of missions – that all peoples, everywhere, will know Him.
The heart of Woman’s Missionary Union is missions. That is our reason for being. As leaders and members of WMU organizations, we need to constantly remember our reason for being.
We follow the missions mandate by following these areas of missions focus:

- Engage in Mission Action and Witnessing
- Learn about Missions
- Support Missions
- Develop Spiritually Toward a Missions Lifestyle
- Participate in the Work of the Church and Denomination
