Mary Anne Croom has been active in the work of WMU for over 30 years as people saw the potential she had to become a leader. Even though she has served as WMU director in her church, most of her work and passion is in working with adults and particularly the women in missions. Mary Anne has led conferences for the leaders of women on the church, association, state and national level. She enjoys finding new ways to present information and helping women find their gifts and use them. She is excited about finding new ways to share God’s love and working with our missionaries. She is currently an active member of Edenton Church.
She is a pastor’s wife who came to know the Lord at the young age of six. She says “Physical problems, tragic deaths, personal attacks, family hurts and the many undeserved joys that He has brought into my life have brought me closer to Him daily.”
Mary Anne is also available to lead conferences for churches and associations for Women on Mission, Adults on Mission, Sisters Who Care and MyMissionFulfilled (new approach for young women). You may contact Mary Anne at 252.482.3908 or jmacroom@hotmail.com.

Deborah Taylor - Students
|
Deborah Taylor has served for over 20 years as a leader of youth – including many years as Acteens Director at University Hills Baptist Church in Charlotte. She loves seeing young people grow in the Lord and discover their spiritual gifts as she has been their mentor. She is an accomplished conference leader having led conferences for leaders of Acteens, Youth on Mission, Sunday School and VBS.
Deborah is gifted in music and was able to use that gift as she served in summer missions in southeast Asia. Deborah and her family are active members of their church where her husband, Alan, serves as the Minister of Education.
Her decision to become a Christian came when she was a 5th grader through a teacher who shared how there was a difference in going to church and committing your life to Christ. Through the years, there have been many other people who have mentored her and helped her to grow. Deborah shares this about her call to work with students “I feel called to encourage others to take the time to work with students and provide them hands-on opportunities to develop and use their spiritual gifts.”
Deborah is available to speak, lead training or consult with leaders of Acteens and Youth on Mission. Deborah may be contacted at 704.599.3947 or deborahtaylor@universityhills.org.
