As we wash our hands here are opportunities to "wash others' feet.
Be sure to follow us on our Social Media platforms for the latest ideas/encouragement and communication.
Iron Stream Media, WMU, and the WMU Foundation are offering curated boxes of books to send to those isolated in senior care facilities, hospice centers, hospitals and seniors sheltering in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The joint initiative, Honor 6:2, is based on Ephesians. 6:2: “Honor your father and mother.”
*We are thankful to our friends at Alabama WMU who put together this resource and provided us with the opportunity to share it with you.
Here is a fun, engaging project for young and young at heart. With these sun catchers you can decorate windows from the outside, sharing with those who may not be able to get outside during this time. These will bring smiles to your face and theirs.
Thank you to Allison and her kiddos, Ender, Auggie & Story for sharing this activity!
National WMU has created a list of FREE resources for you and for your church to access during this time. You can find resources on:
-Social distancing and missions
-Helpful articles and devotionals
-Missions resources for children and youth
-Family missions moments
Each of us have gifts and talents that God has given us to serve others. Now, more than ever before, those gifts are needed to serve people around us.
Homemade masks can be sewn by hand or machine, but should be double-layered and made with pre-washed cotton. There are many resources available online that provide a list of materials to use, patterns, and instructions on how to make DIY masks. We’ve included a few helpful resources below.
Many of you may already been doing this or thinking of doing it. We encourage you to reach out to your local medical facilities and donate masks if you can. Many places that we may not normally think of like nursing homes and prisons need them as well. If you would like us to help you locate a place to donate masks to, please reach out to Amy Boone.
