The Project HELP 2019 focus is on the global refugee crisis.

You shall not oppress a stranger, since you yourselves know the feelings of a stranger, for you also were strangers in the land of Egypt. Exodus 23:9 (NASB)

Definition of a refugee; someone who has been forced to flee their country because of persecution, war or violence.

As of June 2018, 68.5 million people around the world have been forced from their home.  25.4 million of them are refugees and over half of them are under the age of 18.

Between October 2016 and September 2017, 53, 716 refugees were resettled to the United States; 37% African, 40% Near East & South East Asia, 9.5% Asia, 3% Latin America and the Caribbean, 9.5% Europe.
